Montes Limited Selection Pinot Noir
A Pinot Noir this good outside of Burgundy is a real treat. From the cool climate Casablanca Valley and matured for a short period in French oak. Smoky raspberry fruit aromas and intense flavours of strawberry and red fruit, with a hint of violet and a savoury finish.
The grapes come from the well reputed Casablanca valley. Grapes are picked at the end of March to ensure optimum ripening. Using a prefermentative maceration in cold we obtain the gracious and typical aromas of Pinot Noir. The wine then undergoes six months in French new and used oak.
