Winemaker Comments on 2008 - This must surely be the best vintage of this label since the much acclaimed 2005 vintage. It shows all the elements of a wine at the top of its game with plenty of exciting development still to come.

Tasting notes
Bouquet: A very satisfying bouquet with lots of passion fruit, sherbet, tropical fruit and typical Marlborough herbaceousness. The slightly salty, minerally note on the nose shows up the 17 Valley fruit in the wine very nicely.
Palate: The wine has a very intense entry onto the palate starting at the tip of the tongue and spreading out towards the very back in a wave of flavour. The acidity is quite apparent with great intensity of feijoa, lime and minerality leaving the palate with a very long finish. There’s also plenty of room for development to add to the already weighty mouthfeel.
