PLB Clinches Delaforce Port!

PLB have been appointed the UK distributor for Delaforce Port with immediate effect.

The signing gives PLB responsibility for Delaforce’s entire portfolio of premium Port wines, which will be targeted at the On-Trade and Independent Retail sectors. The core range of Delaforce products (including ‘His Eminence’s Choice’ 10 year old Tawny - and ‘Curious & Ancient’ 20 year old Tawny) was recently repackaged to give the wines a more classical presentation commensurate with the brand’s heritage.

PLB Group's Brand manager, Adam Wyartt, says that the move demonstrates the diversification of its portfolio.

“Over the last year or so, we have been working hard to become a brand-led drinks company and the addition of Delaforce to the PLB stable demonstrates the premiumisation and diversification of our portfolio,” he comments. “Delaforce is a quintessentially ‘English’ brand of long standing and great quality; our job will be to communicate its heritage and excellence to the trade in order to take the brand to a leading position in the specialist sector.

Established by George Henry Delaforce in 1868, Delaforce Port is owned by The Royal Oporto Group, which has several large Quintas comprising over 750 hectares of premium vineyards in the Upper Douro valley in Portugal.
