"Selection within selections" is Winemaker Frans Smit's slogan when creating these ultra premium wines. This means that only hand-selected grapes from single, mature and low-yielding vineyards are gently vinified and judiciously matured in tight-grained, French barrels. The prime wines emerging from these barrels are then subjected to a final selection process.

Limited quantities are released annually and only if the wines are deemed to be of the required excellence to deserve the private collection label. This commitment to quality has led to the range reaping an impressive list of accolades, star-ratings and awards, both locally and internationally.
